Create an Intentional Life

If you want to Live with intention and attention to what’s going on in your life. If you’re ready to start living your Life on Purpose.

This is a great place to start…

Be happier. Feel healthier. Work smarter. Learn and grow. Connect consciously. Live responsibly. Accomplish something. Be a good steward of time and resources. Explore your potential. Have fun. Be creative. Be purposeful. Be mindful.

Make choices consciously. Take responsibility. Pay attention. Take action with intention. Open your eyes. Know what you want. Be aware. Stay focused.

This is your life. You’re creating it every day, with every decision, every action (or inaction), every reaction, along with your attitude, your focus, your beliefs. These all shape your life, both the reality of it and your experience of it. So, be intentional – Pay attention, think about what you’re doing, the kind of life you want, what you want to accomplish, who you want to be.

In a world that is hectic, busy, and hurried, intention is easily ignored. It’s tempting to drift or put our lives on autopilot, but that’s not how you get where you want to go in life.

You have to decide the trajectory and focus of your life otherwise you’ll wake up one day and realize that you really haven’t lived the life you intended or worse you didn’t intend anything at all and just barely existed. That’s a waste of a good life.

“Life is a promise; fulfill it.” - Mother Theresa

So, how do you live an intentional life?

Take responsibility. Realize that your life is made up of a continuous stream of choices…and these choices determine the outcome of your life. Every day is an opportunity to make new choices. You get to pick your attitude, make your decisions, and choose your actions. And if the ones you made in the past aren’t serving you, aren’t getting you closer to the life you want, or aren’t bringing out the best in you, then you get to make different ones.

Pay attention. Consciously determine how you will spend your days:

What you will spend your time on…and what you won’t

What you will pay attention to, focus on and nurture…and what you will ignore, minimize, or remove

What serves your intention, your goals, your dreams…, and what does not

Open your eyes. Be aware of what gives your life meaning, what makes you happy, what you hope to contribute, what you value, how you interact with the others, how you impact the world.

Stay focused. Recognize that we don’t live in a vacuum. We are constantly bombarded by demands, distractions, judgment, manipulation, a myriad of things pulling at us from every direction. It’s so easy to get drawn into the current of busyness, to let others decide for us, to get stuck in a cycle of inaction, indecision, discontent, or worse apathy.

An intentional life means to live your life, not anyone else’s, to become the best person you can be, to create the life you want, to explore the potential in all things. To be happy, to find meaning and purpose, to accomplish something, to enjoy life, to make the most of each day.

Live with intention, not regrets.
